INITIATIVES

The Mi Casa program is a national non-profit down payment assistance program endorsed by Hispanic leaders and organizations with the primary goal of increasing minority homeownership in America. The single biggest barrier to minority homeownership is accumulating the funds for a down payment.

Our program helps by providing down payment and closing cost assistance as a true gift to the homebuyer and the funds do not need to be repaid. For information on how you can participate as a prospective homebuyer, see Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Our organization has committed $1 million dollars per month in down payment and closing cost assistance to the DISD parents in an effort to reduce the drop-out rate.

We also offer state and national outreach programs that will assist homebuilders, mortgage companies and realtors to reach new prospective minority homebuyers.
